Our current inmate population is down to 4. Still waiting for their various operations are the Hula Dancer, the gray poodle, Wilma Flintstone (Fred still doesn't miss her. He is out bowling with the boys again.), and the beautiful Kohner wood elephant. The elephant is an amputee patient and is waiting for prosthetics to be manufactured. Our 2 guests have had successful surgeries and have been transferred to the visitor's guest house. Their plane leaves Monday.

To update you on KIB-ITZ Horse, he spent a quiet night. Unlike Rider! Rider was out on the town until the wee hours. He tangled with Mac the Sailor. Fortunately, neither came away with anything more serious than a scratch and a bruise here and there. Rider wanted to dance with Swing Dancer-ette. Something both Swing Dancer and Mac took exception to. Being as drunk as Pete (who was outside at the corner, hanging onto a lamppost), Mac could not do any serious damage to Rider, and Dancer-ette did her best to drag her date, Swing Dancer away. Thank goodness the Prize Fighters had just left the bar so there was no problem from their corners (pun not intended of course). It will be good to see Rider back where he belongs. He just can't take the big city.

Patient number 2:
Our other out-of-state visitor is Happy Snappy. And just a delight of course. He is feeling so much better. He will be going home with Rider and KIB-ITZ. But while here, we are sure enjoying him. He allowed a photo session with the press and a short question and answer period. Most questions were answered with "no comment"; understandable since the details concerning the accident were fairly embarrassing for him. He did speak at length on Collapsing Dogs Unlimited, his favorite charity. He choose the following 3 photos to publish.
