	You can add cardstock or parchment backing to make the shapes sturdier or to add quilling to the center without support or very little support. The mitten has a square of parchment paper glued to the outline under the mitten. After the glue is dry, trim off excess parchment or paper. The heart has construction paper backing.
	With the stars I used a 5 point polar grid to shape the star before the outline was completely dry. I used Alternate Side Looping on a pin board for my interior designs.
